We begin with an overview of the budgeting process and best practices, then move on to capital budget considerations, including how to set up an operating reserve.

In this section we discuss how to factor in outlays for capital purchases, operating reserves, or loan repayments. Next, we walk through a template for projecting cash flow for a fiscal year. Finally, we discuss key considerations relevant to non-profits, such as timing of cash flows.
